Grand Island, Neb. – The Victory Sports Network (VSN), founded in 2002 by National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Guru Jason Dannelly, has officially resumed operations again after a 20 month affiliation with the College Fanz Sports Network.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Ottawa University had eight teams named NAIA Scholar teams. Volleyball (3.35), women's outdoor track and field (3.23), men's golf (3.21), men's outdoor track and field (3.20), women's soccer (3.15), men's cross country (3.09), women's cross country (3.05) and softball (3.05). The Iowa Wesleyan volleyball team is the 2009-10 NAIA Scholar-Team of the Year, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced on Tuesday. The Lady Tigers, under the direction of head coach Jill Blake, finished in the top spot with a 3.82 grade point average during the 2009-10 academic year. A record total of 857 teams, an increase over last year’s total of 837, received the award.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) recently launched a new Web site for the new NAIA Eligibility Center. To access the site visit http://www.playnaia.org/. The NAIA Eligibility Center is responsible for determining the eligibility of first-time NAIA student-athletes and will begin taking registrations this September for any student interested in playing NAIA sports for the first-time in 2011-12 or after.

OTTAWA, Kan. - Ottawa University’s softball program has announced the signing of Lyndsay Swafford to a letter of intent for the 2010-2011 school year. She is from Lexington, Mo. and is a transfer from Johnson County Community College. Swafford attended Lexington High School.
