OTTAWA, Kan. - Ottawa University’s baseball program has announced the signing of Samuel Sena to a letter of intent for the 2010-2011 school year. He is from Albuquerque, N.M. and is a transfer from Lamar Community College. He attended Eldorado High School.
Sena, an infielder, was a two year letterwinner in baseball for Lamar Community College. At Eldorado High School Sena earned two letters in baseball. He was a first team All-District selection, earned second team All-Metro and was a gold glove selection his junior and senior seasons. Sena helped his high school team to a second place finish in state his junior year.
“Sam is a junior college transfer from Lamar CC who is a standout middle infielder with some pop in bat,” said OU head coach Joe Reed. “Blessed with good size & strength, he will look to add more quality depth to the infield for the Braves. Sam has a solid demeanor & confidence in his ability that will be a welcome addition to our team. We are thrilled that Sam has decided to become a Brave & will add to our team success.”
Sena is the son of Terry Dodd and Sam and Dee Sena and plans to major in information technology.
