In the two years he was at Butler County he helped the Grizzlies to a 59-13 record and a 2009 Jayhawk West Conference runner-up finish. He averaged 3.4 points and 2.4 rebound per game her sophomore season.

At White City High School he was an all-league selection and a three-time all-area selection in both football and basketball. He was an all-state selection in football, track and basketball for the Huskies. Morgan participated in the David Kohls Memorial All-Star Game held on the campus of Butler County Community College.

“Mark Morgan is a winner. He is strong, tough, smart and makes everyone around him better,” said OU head coach Andy Carrier. “He does many things that win games that do not always show up in the statistics. He does shoot the three well too, but it is all of the others things that make him special. We are thrilled to have him join us.”
