OTTAWA, Kan. - Ottawa University’s men’s basketball program has announced the signing of Antonio Stewart for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year. He is from Zion, Ill. and is a transfer from Cloud County Community College. Stewart will have three years of eligibility left at OU. He attended Zion Benton High School.
Stewart, a 6’5” forward, earned one letter at Cloud County after red-shirting his freshman season. He was a teammate of current Brave Chris Tate at CCCC.
“Antonio is a front liner with great athleticism. He is a great addition to our program and will impact us immediately with his ability to score inside, guard and rebound the basketball,” said OU head coach Andy Carrier. “He also runs the floor very well and we are thrilled he has three years left to play in our program. His outgoing and magnetic personality will be a big hit all across our campus.”
Stewart is the son of Antonio V. Stewart and plans to major in communication.
