OTTAWA, Kan. - Ottawa University’s baseball program has announced the signing of Cole Horn to a letter of intent for the 2010-2011 school year. He is from Belton, Mo. and attends Belton High School.

Horn, an outfielder, is a three year letterwinner in baseball and a two-time academic letterman for the Pirates. As a junior he earned honorable mention all-conference.

“Cole played at Ottawa University back in the fall with Terry Harris's high school showcase team and we noticed him at that time. He really stood out among the others that were here from pregame in and out and throughout the game,” said OU head coach Joe Reed. “Cole has the ability to get on base, run, disrupt the defense and leaves nothing out there when game is over. He loves to compete and will look to upgrade our program as he competes for a spot in the outfield.”

Horn is the son of Carol Dunaway and Tim Dunaway and plans to major in exercise science.
