OTTAWA, Kan. - Ottawa University’s baseball program has announced the signing of Cody Larson to a letter of intent for the 2009-2010 school year. He is from Louisburg, Kan. and attended Louisburg High School.
Larson, an infielder/pitcher, earned three letters in baseball and one in football for the Wildcats. He led Louisburg to the state tournament and was a three-time all-league performer. Larson earned first team All-Tri County on the baseball diamond. He earned all-league at linebacker and first team All-Tri County on the football field.
“Cody is a left handed pitcher and first baseman from Louisburg HS (Kan.) and will definitely look to make a contribution to the Ottawa University Braves Baseball program immediately,” said OU head coach Joe Reed. “He is a true competitor that understands what it will take to be successful in college. Cody has trained with KC’s Mac-N-Seitz program before and displays skills that will make him a very solid player in the NAIA. We are happy that Cody chose Ottawa and look forward to having him as a Brave.”
Larson is the son of Rich and Jeennette Larson and plans to major in exercise science.
