OTTAWA, Kan. - Ottawa University’s baseball program has announced the signing of Tyler Ross to a letter of intent for the 2009-2010 school year. He is from Milford, Kan. and attended Junction City High School.
Ross, an infielder, was a three year letter winner in baseball and football for the Blue Jays. He earned the 2009 Team Gold Glove and earned the 2009 Team Player award. Ross was also a member of Junction City High’s 2008 6A State Football Championship team.
“Tyler is an enjoyable young man that is hungry to compete for a spot in our middle infield. He was a second baseman for Coach Martinez at Junction City HS (KS) and shows the desire and talent to be a successful college player,” said OU head coach Joe Reed. “Tyler possesses good range, soft glove, and solid arm to play on the right side on infield. He will make a valuable contribution to our program and campus.”
Ross is the son of Richard and Julie Ross and plans to major in biology.
