Lady Braves Downed by Central Methodist

WICHITA, Kan. - The Ottawa University women's basketball team went 1-1 in the Friends Classic after falling 61-47 to Central Methodist University on Saturday afternoon at the Garvey Center.
OU trailed by two points, 27-25 at the end of the first half. Central Methodist though was able to but some space between them and the Lady Braves, taking a 14 point victory over OU, 61-47.
The Lady Braves were led for the second straight game by Paige Gibson with 14 points on 5-7 shooting from the floor and 2-3 shooting from behind the three point line. Misty Stone had eight points and six rebounds for OU.
Up next for the Lady Braves (1-2) is a road trip to Olathe, Kan. to play NAIA Division I opponent Mid America Nazarene University on Tuesday, Nov. 10th. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
