Young Braves Fall to Central Methodist

FAYETTE, Mo. - The Ottawa University men's basketball team fell 72-57 to Central Methodist University on Friday night in the first game of the KCAC/HAAC Classic hosted by CMU. 

Ottawa had two players in double figures led by Chris Tate's 13 points on 6-13 shooting. The junior forward had five rebounds and one blocked shot. Corey Smith came off of the bench to score 11 points on 5-8 shooting with seven rebounds. 

For the game the Braves shot 43.4 percent from the floor, 23-53 while the Eagles were 27-55 for 49.1 percent. 

Up next for the Braves (0-2) is the second game in the KCAC/HAAC Classic on Saturday, Nov. 7th versus rival Baker University. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
