WICHITA, Kan. – Ottawa University football player Corey Schultz has earned KCAC Player of the Week the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. Schultz went over the 1,000 yard receiving mark on Saturday in OU’s 42-10 victory over Kansas Wesleyan University.
Schultz, a senior receiver from Quenemo, Kan., had eight receptions for 221 yards and two touchdowns. His 221 yards put him a 1,033 yards receiving on the season. Schultz is now 51 yards away from breaking the single season receiving mark of 1, 083 held by two former Braves, Tom Starck (1997) and Kim Hendrix (1978).
Up next for the no. 7 Braves (8-0, 7-0) is the last home game of the regular season versus Bethany College. Game time is set for Saturday, November 7th at 1:30 p.m. Ottawa University’s seniors will be honored before the game.
