Women' Soccer Inks One More
OTTAWA, Kan. - Ottawa University women’s soccer program has announced the signing of Deiree Archuleta to a letter of intent for the 2008-2009 school year. She is from Olathe, Kan. and attends Olathe East High School.

Archuleta, a 5’2” midfielder/forward, played basketball and soccer for three years for the Hawks. She helped the Hawks to the Shawnee Mission South title her freshman and sophomore seasons. Archuleta helped her club team to a state title and to two Division I championships.

“Desiree is a great late addition to our program. From highly respected Kansas City club and high school programs we are glad she chose OU to continually develop her game,” said OU head coach Craig Shaw. “She adds depth to our squad and with her great attitude and desire to be here I feel she will go from strength to strength while adapting to the college game.”

Archuleta is the daughter of Deanna and Orlando Archuleta and plans to major in exercise science.
