OTTAWA, Kan. - Ottawa University’s men’s basketball program has announced the signing of Brock McGinnis for the upcoming 2008-2009 year. He is from Oskaloosa, Kan. and attends Oskaloosa High School.

McGinnis, a 6’1” guard, earned four letters in basketball, football and baseball for the Bears. He was an All-Area selection in basketball this past season and earned All-League honors in 2007 and again in 2008. McGinnis has also been selected for the 2008 Northeast Kansas All-Star Game.

“Brock is a physical guard that can shoot the three. He is an outstanding student and a great fit at Ottawa University,” said OU head coach Andy Carrier. “We think he will compete well in our junior varsity program and have a chance to develop into a varsity player over time. We are thrilled he has chosen Ottawa University.”

McGinnis is the son of Monte and Julie McGinnis and plans major in physical education.
