Volleyball Signs Brenda Jackson For 2008

OTTAWA, Kan. - Ottawa University’s volleyball program has announced the signing of Brenda Jackson to a letter of intent for the upcoming school year. She is from North Richland Hills, Texas and attends Birdville High School.
Jackson, a 5’8” outside hitter, was a three year letterman in volleyball for the Hawks. She earned first team All-District honors, was selected to the Fort Worth Star Telegram All-Area First Team and named team captain of her high school team in 2007. This past season, Jackson had 379 kills, 3.3 per game and tallied 528 digs for the season. As a junior, Jackson had 86 aces and earned herself, All-District Most Valuable Server honors. She played three years for the Texas Image Volleyball Club, helping them to the National Tournament the last two seasons.
"Brenda is a fearless hitter with a quick arm swing and has an incredible amount of enthusiasm to boot,” said head coach Lorrie Hammit. “She loves to work and is a joy to be around; Brenda will be a great asset to our Lady Brave Volleyball Program."
Jackson is the daughter of Dale and Cindy Jackson and plans to major in business administration and information technology.
