HILLSBORO, Kan. – The OU men's track and field team competed at the Tabor College Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
James Wilson-Shirah finished 14th in the 100M with a time of 11.05. Brandon Hensley ran a time of 2:26.36 in the 800M, placing 47th. Kyle Mahoney ran a time of 17:05.90 in the 5000M, finishing 13th. Brandon Hensley competed in the 5000M, running a time of 18:10.27 to place 21st.
TyQuinton Guy, Jas'quan Alexander-Riley, Logan Mong, and Wilson-Shirah all competed in the long jump. Guy placed sixth in the long jump with a leap of 21-03.50. Alexander-Riley finished 12th with a jump of 19-11.50. Mong placed 18th with a jump of 19-01.50 and Wilson-Shirah finished with a jump of 18-08.50 to place 20th.
Guy and Alexander-Riley competed in the high jump as well. Guy finished seventh with a leap of 6-00.50 and Alexander-Riley placed 12th with a clearance of 5-10.50. Michael Jensen and Trevior Graves competed in the shot put. Jensen finished fourth with a throw of 49-01.50 and Graves placed 14th with a toss of 42-06.00.
Jensen also competed in the discus. He placed sixth with a throw of 134-06. Tyler Hooks, Jensen and Graves all participated in the hammer throw. Hooks finished 10th with a throw of 134-00, Jensen placed 13th with a toss of 129-10, and Graves finished 24th with a throw of 105-08. Enrique Bordallo competed in the javelin. He finished 21st with a throw of 116-10.
The Braves are back in action on Saturday, April 29 at the Wildcat Open hosted by Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan.
