WICHITA, Kan. – Ottawa University had two women's tennis players named to the All-KCAC teams the conference office announced on Friday morning.
Jennifer Luedtke, a freshman from McGregor, Texas, earned KCAC Freshman of the Year honors and was a First Team All-KCAC selection. Madeline Bellew, a sophomore from New Albany, Ind., earned Second Team All-KCAC honors for the second straight season.
Luedtke finished the season playing no. 1 singles for the Lady Braves. She had a singles record of 7-13; 5-9 as the no. 1 singles player and 1-4 in no. 2 singles. Luedtke, playing no. 1 doubles, has a record of 7-8.
Bellew played no. 2 singles for the Lady Braves, finishing the regular season with a record of 8-11. Playing no. 1 doubles with teammate Luedtke, she had a record of 5-7.
Up next for the Lady Braves is the KCAC Championship on Saturday, April 26. OU will play Bethel College in the semifinals. First serve is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. at Maize South High School in Wichita, Kan.
