OMAHA, Neb. - The OU women's tennis team competed well at the 2013 USTA/ITA Regional Championships hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan University at the Koch Tennis Center. The Lady Braves went undefeated on day one, qualifying for the quarterfinals in the tournament.

Jennifer Luedtke defeated Oklahoma Baptist University's Ashlynee Abbe to move on in the tournament. Luedtke then defeated NWU's Maria Mota in her second match. She fell to OBU's no. 1 seeded Anstaslia Baranova in the quarterfinals.

Madeline Bellew defeated Bethany College's Mackenzi Choitz in her first match of the tournament. She then defeated Nikki Vorhees of McPherson College. Bellew fell in her third match to the second seeded Kateryna Shkot of OBU.

In doubles play, Bellew and Luedtke won in their first match of the day against NWU's Mota and Heywood 9-7. McPherson College' s second seeded team of Vorhees and Vorhees defeated the Lady Brave duo 8-4.

Up next for the Lady Braves is a road trip to Liberty, Mo. to play NCAA Division II opponent William Jewell College on Friday, Sept. 27. First serve is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
