The 2012 Capital One Academic All-District ® Softball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. The Ottawa University softball program has two student athletes named Capital One Academic All-District 6 First Team, Cady Blevins and Amanda Martinsen. This is the first time in program history that the softball team has had someone named to the team. Capital One became the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams programs in 2011.

STERLING, Kan. - There were four KCAC Champions, four school records broken, one national qualifier, and 27 student athletes earning -*All-KCAC honors at the 2012 KCAC Track and Field Championships hosted by Sterling College. As a team the Braves finished fifth at the championships, only three points out of fourth place, and the women placed sixth.
