OTTAWA, Kan. - Ottawa University’s baseball program has announced the signing of Ryan Bontrager to a letter of intent for the 2010-2011 school year. He is from Spring Hill, Kan. and is a transfer from Neosho County Community College. Bontrager attended Spring Hill High School.

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its winners for the 2009-10 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll. This award, given in NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA and Junior College/Community College, awards teams throughout the nation that carry the highest grade point averages (GPA) for the entire season based on the nomination submitted by WBCA-member head coaches. Ottawa University finished ranked 16th in the NAIA and joins fellow KCAC member Bethel College on the list.

OTTAWA, Kan. -  Ottawa University Head Women’s Soccer Coach Craig Shaw has stepped down after three years to accept the position as head women’s soccer coach at NCAA Division II Fort Hays State University (FHSU) (Kan.). Fort Hays State is a new soccer program and will not begin competition until the 2011 season. According to Athletic Director Arabie Conner, OU will seek a full-time replacement, opening a national search to begin immediately.
